About Omega Auto Care
For more than 20 years, Omega Auto Care has been a leading provider of vehicle service contracts in Jacksonville, Florida. The company stands out because it has unique features like a one-year car maintenance plan and allowances for tire repairs that can't be fixed.
In 2017, Omega Auto Care was accredited by the Better Business Bureau and has maintained an A+ rating. Additionally, the company has received a customer review rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars, with only 118 complaints filed in the past three years.
Omega Auto Care Coverage
If your vehicle has racked up a lot of miles, this is the company for you. They are considered to be on the higher end of the market when it comes to mileage and vehicle age; vehicles up to 15 years old or with up to 250,000 miles qualify for one of their plans.
Most of their plans cover your vehicle for up to five years, but it all depends on the plan you choose, as some don't last that long. In addition, all their plans have a 30-day or 1,000-mile waiting period before the coverage begins; this is done to spot vehicles with pre-existing conditions.
Coverage plans include three main types, with two options to upgrade:
- Exclusionary: This is for vehicles with less than 100,000 miles.
- Used Stated Coverage: This is for vehicles with less than 150,000 miles.
- Powertrain Protection: This is for vehicles with up to 250,000 miles.
Plan | What is included? |
---|---|
Exclusionary | Coverage includes Drive axle, Transfer case, Electrical components, AC, Heating system, Transmission, Forced induction system, Cooling system, Fuel system, Engine, Brakes, Suspension, and Steering. |
Used Stated | Coverage includes: Drive axle, Transfer case, Transmission, Forced induction, some Engine repairs, Electrical components, AC, Heating system, Cooling system, Fuel system, Brakes, Suspension, and Steering. |
Powertrain Enhanced | Coverage includes some AC, Heating system, Drive axle, Transfer case, cooling system, Forced induction system, and Transmission repairs. |
Powertrain Plus | Coverage includes some Drive axle, Transfer Case, Transmission, Forced induction system, Engine, Electrical components, AC, and Heating system. |
Powertrain | Coverage includes limited Drive axle, Transfer case, Transmission, Forced induction system, and Engine repairs. |
Extra benefits
All Omega Auto Care plans come with:
- Roadside assistance: This includes spare tire replacement, towing, fuel delivery, battery assistance, and lockout service.
- Car rental reimbursement: This includes $60 per day if your car stays overnight in a repair shop.
- Emergency trip interruption: If you are stranded more than 100 miles from home due to your vehicle breaking down, they will pay $75 per day for three days.
Limitations
If you want to maintain a contract with Omega Auto Protect, you are required to follow a few obligations:
- To keep your car in good shape, you must get all the recommended services and keep all your receipts.
- You are required to change your oil and filter within the first 60 days of your contract; this can be waived if you have done one in the past six months.
Omega Auto Care Cost
Omega Auto Care does not advertise fees on its website, but customers have reported paying $3,700 for an exclusionary policy plan for a 2007 Honda. A basic Powertrain Plus policy for a 2012 truck can go up to $4,600 with a $500 down payment.
Their price range is expensive compared to other warranty companies; quotes average $2 per day for a policy plan, but quotes eventually depend on the vehicle's age, mileage, model, and plan type.
Omega Auto Care Customer Support
Omega Auto Care advertises itself as a customer-driven company, and if you have any questions or concerns, you can reach out to their customer support at +1-877-850-0443. Unfortunately, there is no mention of business hours on their website.
On their "Contact Us" page, you can put in your contact information and they will reach out to you; for general inquiries, visit their FAQs page.
Conclusion
Omega Auto Care has been providing vehicle service contracts for the past 20 years. While their policy plans come with some additional benefits, they may not be the top choice among auto warranty providers. Unfortunately, the company does not offer online quotes, and you will need to speak with a representative over the phone to receive one.
While their plans are comprehensive, they do not offer standard bumper-to-bumper coverage. It's important to carefully review the list of excluded items in the contract to ensure that you understand what is and isn't covered under the plan.
