Site123 doesn't require any technical proficiency; all it takes to build a website is to follow a few steps. The only downside you might face is that Site123 doesn't give a lot of creative freedom. Apart from this only undesirable fact, it is perfect for people who like to build effortlessly.

Before getting any deeper, Site123 is a great option for small businesses and personal websites, if you're running a medium or large business, Site123 is not your best choice. Let's head off to the steps of building with Site123.

As a pre-stage, you'll need to make up your mind on a plan. Site123 offers a premium and a free plan. For a professional website, especially if you are looking to have a website for your business, we recommend the premium plan to avoid any future add ons or upgrades.

Step 1: Choose the right website type

This is the first step in our site123 tutorial. Once you choose your plan, Site123 redirects you to a different page to choose your website's type. Site123 offers many categories and subcategories to choose from, including business, online store, blog, restaurant and food, photography, events, technology, music, arts, and many more.

Step 2: Add a name and choose a language

The second step for our site123 tutorial is to add a name that speaks for your website's content, and make it a catchy one to attract visitor's attention.

Step 3: Sign up to create an account

The third step in our site123 tutorial is to start editing your website. You'll need to sign up for an account, fill in a username, password, and email address. Then, you're ready to start editing. Once you finish signing up, you'll be directed to the editing page.

Click on " Start building your website" to start building.

Step 4: Navigate the essential features

Honestly, Site123 editing tools are a piece of cake; the interface is straightforward and can easily be designed as you wish. No complications or puzzling options. All it takes to edit texts or photos is to click and edit. Options regarding font, color, background, pages, images, and so on are very simple and don't require any technical skills. Let's take a look at the editing page interface first, then we'll go through what you can do there in detail.

Obviously, I chose the restaurant and food type, and this is the interface. The number of features is pretty impressive, its interface has any element you might think of, from editing texts, templates, goals to changing background, images, and even booking a table.

When you scroll down a little bit, you'll fall in love with how everything is done for you. All you need is to make few changes regarding the menu, contact info., opening hours, add more about your business, and let people know your place on the map. Editing all these options is the easiest step ever.

This is what you'll see when you scroll down.

Followed by the menu section.

And finally, let people know about you.

This is all regarding your website. The essential elements will remain the same if you choose a different website type. At the bottom, there's a map that shows your business location, in this case, the restaurant's location on the map.

By far, all your website's elements should be familiar to you. Now, it's time to start editing.

Step 5: Pages tab

This is step 5 in our site123 tutorial.
This section allows you to add new pages and edit the current page, which is the "Home Page", it gives a handful of options, like rearrange page sections. For instance, I was able to put the menu first followed with the "Book a Table" section, or change them to start with the "Who We Are" section followed with the "Menu" and so on. It's impressively flexible, and allows editing even the small details, like SEO meta description, show/hide footer, delete or add sections, and more.

5.1: Add pages, categories, external links

When you click on the "Add New Pages" option, Site123 directs you to the following page:

Site123 does all the hard work for its users; it requires choosing what type of pages you want to add and what for. As you can see in the picture above, there is plenty of options, including contact, blog, gallery, portfolio, features, FAQs, articles, music, restaurant, and more. The following picture shows a new gallery page; it is easily editable and can take many images to tell people more about your services.

Adding new categories to the home page requires two steps:

  • Click on the "Add New Category" option in the "Pages" tab.
  • Type a name for the new category.
  • Edit the new category as you wish, and rearrange its place on the home page if you want to.

You can also add external links to refer your visitors to another webpage, all it takes is to copy/paste the link you want in the link space and add a text that resembles what you're linking for.

5.2: Change categories arrangement and settings

In the "Pages" tab, you can see all the home page's categories and edit their arrangement on the home page and other settings. Look at the picture to see all these options.

Change categories on your home page by clicking on the left side of the category, as done in the picture, and drag it to change its place among other elements on the home page, then drop it when you feel it's the right place. In the following picture, I changed the "Book a Table" category to become in the "Restaurant Menu" place on the home page.

You can choose to edit each category on the home page directly or click on "Edit" in the "Pages" tab. Here, I chose to edit from the "Pages" tab.

This is what you'll have when you click on edit.

It looks like Site123 didn't forget about even the smallest details and created ready-made templates that truly took me no effort to edit as I want. Compared to other website builders, not all of the services can be that easy, and some others require a user with some technical skills to build professionally. Site123 incredibly does all the heavy lifting and gives multiple solutions even with the free plan, which I find full of features, and gives beginners a chance to have their website with no effort.

Getting back to the editing part, this section, as you can see in the picture, allows editing the restaurant menu (Main menu and desserts). Edits regarding price, payment methods, and titles are also available.

Let's have a glance over the following picture, it shows how I changed the menu to include both the main courses and desserts for an Asian restaurant.

In the "Pages" tab, you can also change the settings for each category individually; this includes adding a slogan, SEO options (Description Meta-Tag, Title Meta-Tag, Keywords Meta-Tag), hide the page from users, show/hide on the footer, and show/hide on the menu.

You can control what appears in the header, including (phone number, email, location address, social networks, action buttons, and search tools).

The last step in our site123 tutorial is adjusting the settings.
Site123 is generous with what it offers, from features to setting options, designs, and platforms. All these possibilities are not limited to the premium plan; you'll also have a lot of options to choose from.

Let's see what Site123 offers regarding the website's settings. We're so excited to tell you about its free logo maker that can help users design an astonishing logo for their business. However, you'll need to upgrade to the premium plan for a favicon, which has a great role in making people remember your website and distinguish it among many other tabs on your browser.

To design a logo with Site123, go for the settings, scroll down to the "Website" option and click on it. Choose the "Choose logo" option, which will direct you to the logo maker. If you already have a logo, you can easily upload it to your website, and all is done.

In the "Settings" tab", you can also choose the website's language, app settings, and plugins.

Plugins can serve your website to be more professional and make it easier for you to know more about who's visiting and which sections are getting the best hits and which are not. Remarkable plugins include Google analytics, Google webmaster tools, Facebook pixel, and Google AdSense.

To see how your website will appear to visitors, you can change the display options to see how it appears on the desktop, mobile, and tablet.

Once you change all edits on your home page and other added pages, if there any, click on the "Publish" option, and your website is ready to go online.
