Deel is a San Francisco-based HR services company that was founded in 2019. The company's primary focus is to provide simplified hiring, payroll, and compliance services to businesses with international workforces. Although their Employer of Record (EOR), global payroll, and contractor hiring services are their main features, Deel began offering a US-based PEO in September 2023. This service streamlines workforce management needs specifically for companies operating within the US, including everything from payroll and taxes to compliance, hiring, risk mitigation, training, and benefits. However, as Deel PEO is a very new service, they have not yet received any awards or accolades. That being said, they are a member of the National Association of Professional Employer Organization (NAPEO) and have joined the organization even before they began operating their national PEO services. They are not yet certified by the IRS, nor are they accredited by the Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC). As a payroll services company, they have not received accreditation from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and have a B- rating from them. OysterHR offers three service options on their website, where clients can choose to pay $29 per contractor per month, or $599 per employee a month for their global EOR and employee management solution, $499 per employee a month if the client opts for the annual plan. There is also a discounted Scale plan for which prospective clients must request a quote. OysterHR is considered a "unicorn" business and has earned certification as a B Corporation, honoring it as a business that upholds the strict criteria of social and environmental performance, openness, and responsibility.
