Mail & Package Delivery
This one trips people up every year. The big split is between the postal service and the private carriers.

Stores & Pharmacies
Good news for errand-runners: retail is open. Hours can shift by location, so a quick check before you go is smart.
- Big box and grocery: Walmart, Target, Costco, plus most supermarkets
- Pharmacies: CVS and Walgreens
- Other: liquor stores and most malls operate normally
Restaurants & Coffee
Most chains stay open, though many are franchise-run, so individual hours vary.
- Fast food: McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Wendy's, Subway, Chipotle
- Coffee: Starbucks and Dunkin', both set hours store by store
- Sit-down: Applebee's, Olive Garden, Chili's, IHOP, Denny's
- Heads up on Chick-fil-A: locations are typically open on Juneteenth, but observing the holiday is left to each individual owner-operator, so call ahead
