Since 1998, MidPhase has been working on providing exceptional hosting services. Today, they have thousands of customers from all over the world. Its affordable prices make it even more eye-catching to customers, starting from $4/month. I mean, how is that even possible? Nothing costs $4 nowadays. Let’s dig deeper and find out all you need to know about MidPhase.
MidPhase's Shared Hosting Plans
MidPhase offers three Shared hosting plans at an affordable starting price. You can take the 1,2-, or 3-year plan. Don’t get too excited; there are no monthly plans, and prices increase upon renewal. Take a look at the table below to know all the details of the three plans.
The three MidPhase Shared Hosting plans details:
|SSL Certificate||Not Included||Not Included||Included upon request|
|Stats2 Web Analytics||(+$2/month)||(+$2/month)||Included|
|Number of MySQL Databases||1||3||Unlimited|
|Dedicated IP Address||(+$5/month)||(+$5/month)||Included|
The good news is, if you change your mind, you’ll get a refund within the first 30-days. Plus, there’s a WordPress-optimized hosting package that comes with extra features like SSD storage, Cloudflare CDN, automatic malware removal, and more.
Ease of Use
Let’s talk about the ease of use. From the beginning, MidPhase’s signup process consists of three steps. That’s right; it’s super easy! However, once you get to the dashboard, it doesn’t provide the easiest tools to host your website. If you’re a programmer, well, you’ll know your way through it. On the other hand, if you’re a beginner, you might want to go in a different direction.
MidPhase Customer Support
Now and then, you might need help to understand certain features or for step-by-step guidance. You can contact MidPhase’s customer support on their 24/7 toll number, ticketing system, email, or even live chat.
If you prefer, you can refer to their knowledgebase. You can also contact a MidPhase agent on social media if needed. The fastest way to contact them is through their ticketing system; they’re helpful and answer quickly.
When it comes to security, MidPhase isn’t the best. We can see that the SSL certificate is included only in their Business plan. In other shared hosting plans, you’ll need to purchase it separately for $34.99/year. Other than that, they don’t provide anything, no apps, NOTHING.
Load Times, Reliability, & Features
What features are you looking for in your web hosting service? MidPhase is known for its 99.9% uptime guarantee and fast load time, so it’s quite reliable, but what else does it offer. Let’s take a look:
- 99.9% Uptime Guarantee: Your website will always be running with little downtown, which is important for customers to access your website.
- Unlimited Bandwidth & Storage
- Unlimited Email: Not all web hosting services offer unlimited emails, so you can actually benefit from sending as many emails as you want.
- Free Domain
- Stats2 Web Analytics: Only in their business plan to help analyze the traffic and understand what your customers are interested in.
- Softaculous: One-click app installer to install any app you want, like WordPress & Magneto.
- Multiple Datacenters: They’re available in Utah, London, and Lviv.
- Free Site Migration: If your account has a cPanel, you’ll be happy to know you can migrate your site free of charge to MidPhase.
- Multiple Coding Languages: Developers will benefit from various coding languages like PHP 7, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails
All these features are great, and your site loading time is fast. However, there have been a few complaints about MidPhase’s email services causing a high bounce rate. This means they’re viewing the main page and leaving. As a result, it’s not the best option for email marketing campaigns. You might want to try A2 Hosting, GoDaddy, or Bluehost in that case.
In addition, unlimited bandwidth and storage come with a limited inode number, so you’ll have to upgrade your plan if you go above the limit your plan provides.
Overall, MidPhase is a good hosting service with plenty of features to have your website up and running. You don’t just get exceptional loading speed and 99.9% uptime from any web hosting service, do you? You’ll get unlimited bandwidth, storage, and emails, which you don’t usually get with any web hosting services.
MidPhase is what you’re looking for if you’re creating a business website, but you’ll be missing some features like the SSL certificate to have a secure website. Suppose you’re looking for hosting services with unlimited emails that are good for marketing campaigns. In that case, we think it’s better if you use GoDaddy, Bluehost, or A2 Hosting to have access to unlimited emails and market your products without any problem.
