Ease of Use

If you’re a beginner having an easy-to-use software is important. You don’t want to get a headache trying to figure out how to use it. You’ll want something that’s straightforward and simple. And Dashlane’s what you’re looking for.

All you need to do is download the setup file and install the browser extension. Then you’ll have to create an account and install the application on your device if you want to, import your password, and set up everything else. You’ll be good to go and benefit from daily password management—no need to worry about remembering your password anymore.

Dashlane Customer Support

If you need some help, you can contact an agent via live chat, email, Twitter, or refer to their FAQs. The good news is their email support is available in English every day and in French and German from Monday till Friday. While their FAQs are available in English, French, German, and Spanish.

Overall, their customer service is friendly and informative no matter where you contact them; they’ll answer your question. Plus, their FAQs offer step-by-step instructions to guide you if you face a problem. The only downside is there’s no phone support, but don’t worry, I don’t think you’ll need it.

Dashlane Features

Dashlane has a lot to offer with its product; it’s not only for filling your credentials when logging into your account. Instead, it has top-notch security features. Let’s see what it has to offer:

  • Auto-fills passwords

  • Automatic password change

  • Password sharing (up to 5 people)

  • Stores different information (delivery addresses, contact details, etc.)

  • 356-bit AES encryption, zero-knowledge architecture, and 2FA

  • Sync your passwords over multiple devices

  • Monitor dark web for data breaches

  • Alerts you if your data is stolen.

  • A VPN

  • Secure file storage (1 GB)

Dashlane is the only Password Manager that comes with an unlimited VPN. The VPN can actually unblock geo-restricted content which is a huge advantage. However, these features differ depending on the plan you choose. For example, you don’t get a VPN with their free plan.

If you’re looking for more features, we recommend taking a look at Norton, Bitdefender, or McAfee for a password manager and protection for your device against cybercriminals and malware.

Do We Recommend It?

We recommend it if you’re looking only for a password manager due to its user-friendly interface for beginners and its top-notch security features. All these features are offered, but it’s a bit overpriced compared to other competitors. That’s understandable. After all, it’s the only password manager that’s fully featured with an unlimited VPN.

However, we think it’s better to purchase an antivirus like Norton or Bitdefender to access a password manager and plenty of other features like VPN, parental controls, and device protection.

If you decide to use Dashlane, we recommend the premium version is better due to better features and more accounts. The free version is limited with an automatic password change and adds only up to 50 passwords. The decision is yours.
