In the past week, alarming food recalls have emerged, pulling popular products from shelves due to contamination concerns that could affect your family’s health. From frozen waffles to smoked salmon, these everyday items may harbor Listeria bacteria or undeclared allergens, posing a risk for serious illness. Stay safe by knowing what’s on the recall list – and check your fridge and pantry to ensure none of these recalled items are in your home.
- Frozen Waffles and Pancakes Recall: TreeHouse Foods expanded their recall on frozen waffles and pancakes, which may contain Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause severe illness in vulnerable groups like pregnant women and the elderly. The recall affects a range of brands, including Food Lion and Giant Eagle 
- Kirkland Signature Smoked Salmon: Costco’s popular smoked salmon product is under recall due to Listeria contamination. Customers who have purchased this product should immediately discard it or return it to Costco for a refund 
- BrucePac Ready-to-Eat Meat and Poultry: Nearly 10 million pounds of BrucePac’s ready-to-eat meats were pulled from shelves for potential Listeria contamination. These products were widely distributed to retailers and used in items like salads and sandwiches
- International Delight Coffee Creamer Recall: Danone’s Zero Sugar Delight coffee creamer was mistakenly packed with sugar, a potential risk for those with dietary restrictions or diabetes 
- Sprouts Chicken Street Taco Kits: Sold at Sprouts Farmers Market, these taco kits may also carry Listeria. Customers should immediately dispose of any remaining product
