Top Steam Black Friday Deals & Other Big Game Discounts

Black Friday is here again, and major game stores are already teasing what’s coming. Steam never runs a traditional Black Friday sale, but they always highlight publisher-led discounts across the store. These deals come directly from the developers and publishers, not from Steam itself.
Steam’s Black Friday Highlights
Even without a dedicated Black Friday event, Steam is still showcasing big discounts through featured promotions and themed spotlights. All of the deals featured are organized and priced by the studios behind the games.
Some of the most exciting discounts Steam is featuring include:
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Split Fiction
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Ghost of Yōtei
These titles are getting extra attention thanks to strong price drops and increased buzz, especially with several of them tied to this year’s award season.
Steam is also pairing the holiday traffic with Cozy Quest, an event hosted by Secret Mode that highlights cozy, feel-good games. The lineup includes simulation titles, puzzle-focused picks and relaxing indie releases. Smaller and mid-size studios get a rare visibility boost here, making it a strong addition to the Black Friday week.
A few standalone favorites are discounted outside the event too, including Escape from Tarkov and Clair Obscur.
Epic Games Black Friday predictions
Epic Games Store is preparing its own Black Friday lineup. Last year left many players disappointed because most of the biggest discounts only applied to deluxe editions rather than standard ones. The deals themselves weren’t bad, but expectations weren’t met. Players are hoping Epic avoids the same issue this year.
Update: Epic maintained the same approach this year, offering discounts only on deluxe and premium editions instead of standard versions.
Publisher-Specific Sales Outside the Stores
Some publishers are rolling out their own promotions:
- Blizzard is expected to run Battle.net discounts
- Riot Games may offer limited-time deals in the League of Legends client
Big LoL discounts are unlikely, but players may still see skin bundles, or the Blue Essence Emporium returning on November 19
