1. Hyundai Ioniq 5

  • Issue: Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) problems leading to stalling
  • Affected models: 2022-2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5, 2023-2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6, Genesis GV60, GV70 “Electrified”, GV80 “Electrified”
  • Solution: Dealers will inspect and replace faulty ICCUs and fuses. A software update will also be applied
  • What to do: Contact your Hyundai dealer or Hyundai customer service to arrange the necessary inspections and repairs

2. Kia EV6

  • Issue: ICCU faults causing the 12-volt battery to fail, leading to power loss while driving
  • Affected models: 2022-2024 Kia EV6
  • Solution: Kia will update the ICCU software and may replace the ICCU components and fuses
  • What to do: Contact Kia customer service at 800-333-4542 and reference recall number SC302 to schedule repairs

3. BMW

  • Issue: Faulty Takata airbags that may explode
  • Affected models: 2006-2009 BMW 3 Series
  • Solution: Dealers will replace the faulty airbags
  • What to do: Owners should contact their BMW dealer to arrange for airbag replacement

4. Mercedes-Benz GLS SUVs

  • Issue: Defective brake boosters leading to potential brake failure
  • Affected models: Nearly 60,000 GLS SUVs
  • Solution: Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the brake booster
  • What to do: Contact Mercedes-Benz customer service for further instructions
