Every week, new product recalls could impact what’s sitting in your pantry, on your skin, or even under your skin! This week’s recalls bring a mix of concerning allergens, toxic metals, sneaky microorganisms, and more. Here’s a rundown of the latest recalls that you need to know about to keep you and your family safe.

1. Undeclared allergen in Bliss Tree Butter Snacks

Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar Overseas LLC, based in Edison, New Jersey, recalls several Bliss Tree Butter Snacks due to undeclared allergens—specifically, milk and sesame. The issue was discovered during an FDA review of the product labels, which did not list these allergens as ingredients.

Individuals allergic to milk or sesame may risk severe or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products. The recalled snacks were distributed nationwide through retail stores, online orders, and Amazon. The affected products include various sizes of Ragi Butter Murukku, Millet Butter Murukku, Millet Butter Ribbon Pakoda, Moringa Butter Murukku, Curry Leaves Butter Murukku, and Millet Butter Karasev, with expiration dates of May 2025 or earlier.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. For more information, contact the company at 1-732-675-7935.

2. Elevated lead levels in ground cinnamon

Gutierrez Distributors, LLC of Passaic, New Jersey, recalls El Servidor Corp and Gutierrez brand ground cinnamon due to elevated lead levels. Lead exposure can affect nearly every bodily system, mainly posing severe health risks to children, such as learning disorders and developmental defects, and to adults, including kidney dysfunction and hypertension.

The recall was prompted by an analysis conducted by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, which found the product contained elevated lead levels. The affected cinnamon was distributed to retail stores in New York and sold to cash-and-carry customers in 1.5-ounce clear plastic bags.

Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and return it for a full refund. Questions can be directed to Gutierrez Distributors at (973) 777-1851.

3. Microorganism contamination in tattoo pigments

Sierra Stain LLC of Carson City, Nevada, has recalled three water-based tattoo pigments under the Bloodline brand due to contamination with high concentrations of microorganisms. Contaminated tattoo inks can cause infections, rashes, lesions, and potentially permanent scarring.

The affected products include “CAROLINA BLUE,” “ALL PURPOSE BLACK,” and “UV CHINA PINK” pigments, manufactured between June and July 2023 and distributed nationwide. The contamination was identified through FDA testing, which found multiple types of harmful bacteria.

Tattoo artists and retailers are advised to stop using or selling the recalled inks immediately and dispose of them properly. Consumers who have experienced adverse reactions should report them to the FDA’s MedWatch program. Bloodline Inks and Sierra Stain LLC are no longer in business; inquiries can be directed to [email protected].

4. Undeclared sulfites in Terrafina Golden Raisins

Sunco & Frenchie LLC of Pine Brook, New Jersey, recalls its 10 oz. Terrafina Golden Raisins due to undeclared sulfites. People allergic to sulfites could experience severe reactions if they consume these raisins.

The product, distributed in New York through retail stores, is packaged in clear plastic containers with bright orange labeling and has “Best If Used By” dates of August 2025 and May 2025. The recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets inspectors revealed the presence of sulfites.
