Gmail “Manage Subscriptions” Goes Live to Clean Your Inbox!

Published On: July 9, 2025
Google is rolling out a new Gmail feature called “Manage subscriptions,” aimed at helping users clear out unwanted emails more easily. The feature, available now on web and coming to Android and iOS starting July 14 and July 21, groups all your subscription emails in one place so you can review and unsubscribe with minimal effort.
Once the feature is available in your account, you’ll see a new “Manage subscriptions” option in the Gmail navigation bar. There, Gmail organizes your active subscriptions by the most frequent senders. You’ll also see how many emails each sender has sent in the past few weeks.
Clicking on any sender lets you view all emails from them. If you want out, just hit “Unsubscribe,” and Gmail will send a request to the sender on your behalf—no need to scroll to the bottom of an email or dig through a website’s settings.
This new feature builds on Gmail’s earlier one-click unsubscribe button, introduced last year, which added a simple way to get off mailing lists without opening each email. But the new “Manage subscriptions” view goes further by offering a centralized hub to deal with all these senders in bulk.
The rollout has already begun for web users and will extend to mobile platforms in the next two weeks. Google says it may take up to 15 days for the feature to reach everyone. It’s available to personal Google account holders, Workspace Individual subscribers, and Google Workspace customers.
If you don’t see it yet, be patient, it’s coming. Once live, just open Gmail, click the top-left navigation menu, and find “Manage subscriptions” in the list.
Though Google only officially announced the feature on Tuesday, some users noticed signs of it back in April. Many had been asking for something like this for years. As more users start using the tool, marketers may need to reconsider how often they send emails and how simple they make the unsubscribe process.
