There is a waiting period before filing a claim with the provider, which depends on the type of contract. If you opt for a term-period contract, you would be able to file a claim after 30 days and 1,000 miles, or 90 days and 200 miles if you drive less frequently. On a monthly contract, the waiting period is 25 days and 500 miles or 40 days and 250 miles. However, there is no waiting period for roadside services.
