Webflow full Review: For Advanced Users

Webflow is an ideal web builder for designers and developers to create a website by themselves yet depend on the builder to design. While it doesn't require any coding, it's surely not the easiest web builder to use, especially with customer service that's only available via email.
If you're seriously interested, find out everything you need to know about Webflow.
Quick Stats
Most website builders don’t work well for advanced users; they’re too easy to use and lack the freedom of creating a site by themselves. That’s when Webflow comes along to create a web builder that’s ideal for designers and developers to create a website by themselves yet depend on the builder to design.
Unlike most website builders, Webflow allows you to customize the mobile version of your website. Nah, this doesn’t require any coding, but it’s not as easy as other website builders like Wix and Squarespace.
Who is it for?
I think you already figured out the Webflow is not for you if you lack technical skills. If you do, then the question remains who is it for? Let’s see:
- Designers: For anyone with advanced technical skills who can learn to use a complicated website builder
- Teams: For companies or people who work with clients. Webflow makes it easier to have more than one member to work together on creating a website.
- People who look for customization freedom: There are some templates to create a website from scratch.
Webflow Plans
To be honest, Webflow plans are a bit overpriced. I mean, I get it; it’s complicated, but half of the things won’t be used by users. You can try it for free with a few features and then upgrade it any way you want.
There are 6 plans you can choose from: three for websites and three for e-commerce stores. The cheapest website plan starts from $12/month, where you can create a basic website with a few elements like images, menus, etc. The CMS plan is for blogs and content-driven sites, and the Business plan is obviously for businesses looking to expand their market. There’s also a fourth plan, the Enterprise plan for large companies, where Webflow will help you step-by-step to create a website.

Take a look at Webflow’s website plans in details:

Ease of Use

Challenge yourself using Webflow - It’s not the easiest website builder to use, but you can start by watching their tutorial to understand the design process. You can start by choosing a template and then moving to the editor.
Won’t you take a look at this? It’s just like Photoshop; there many design options. It’s beginner’s worst nightmare, but techies dream, a web builder that gives you the creative freedom to customize everything you need.
Even with the tutorial, it’s still confusing, but in order to get the hang of it, you’ve got to understand “The Box Model,” as Webflow calls it. Webflow makes you create a box for every element you’re going to add to your site. Maybe understanding this will make it easier for you to get it all together. It’s like a puzzle; it’ll take you a couple of hours, but you can move everything around any way you’d like.
Templates & Design

There are over 100 templates available on Webflow. Some templates are free others are premium, ranging between $19 to $149. You can view them before deciding which one to use, and each template comes with a description that tells you what it’s best for.
The good news is these templates are responsive, hence adapt to different device screen sizes. Overall, they’re responsive and have a great design.
If you don’t like any of them, you can build your website from scratch, create your dream website or use a present. You also have the option of importing your existing website to Webflow.
Customer Support

Using a complex website builder as Webflow, I’m telling you you’re going to need support, especially if you’re a beginner. The Webflow help center, Webflow University, has an extensive database full of guides. It’s the easy way out if you’re stuck.
You’re probably not the only person facing the issue you’re trying to solve. So, you might want to refer to Webflow’s Community forum, especially if you’re using the free plan; it’s your only way out. If not, I’m sure someone will help you solve the problem.
Unfortunately, Webflow only provides email support Monday till Friday from 6 am – 6 pm PT. You’ll get a reply after 24-48 hours.
That’s why if you’re a beginner, it’s better to use Wix or Site123 to create a website. They’re easier and will give you the support you need.

What does Webflow have to offer? Well, a lot, but like everything else, it’s not easy to use. Most apps are third-party integrations that you add to your site. If it makes you feel any better, Webflow will take one headache away; hosting is covered with all plans.
Let’s take a look at Webflow’s features:
