In a significant recognition of small business excellence, the US Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with its digital platform CO—, announced the prestigious CO—100 list, honoring America's top 100 small businesses for 2024. Among those celebrated is Omaha-based North End Teleservices, Nebraska’s largest African-American-owned business, recognized for its innovation, growth, and commitment to its community.
The CO—100 list, selected from over 14,000 applicants nationwide, celebrates businesses from various industries, highlighting their resilience, cutting-edge ideas, and strong workplace cultures. The honorees represent 31 states and Washington, DC, reflecting the diverse and dynamic nature of America's small business landscape.
North End Teleservices, an outsourced contact center service provider, stood out for its mission-driven approach to economic impact and job creation. "This achievement furthers the joy that I feel knowing we are accomplishing our mission of creating jobs and changing lives," said Carmen Tapio, Founder and CEO of North End Teleservices. The company has made a significant economic impact, generating $377 million and contributing to life-changing milestones for many employees, including first-time homeownership and educational achievements.
As a CO—100 honor recipient, North End Teleservices and the other top 100 businesses will enjoy exclusive access to the US Chamber of Commerce’s resources, thought leadership, and networking opportunities. The honorees will also receive a one-year paid membership to the US Chamber, providing valuable exposure and the opportunity to collaborate with influential business leaders.
In addition to the CO—100 recognition, the honorees will be celebrated at a special event on October 8, 2024, at the US Chamber of Commerce’s historic headquarters in Washington, DC. The event will feature the CO—100 Small Business Forum, offering VIP access to key industry experts and decision-makers. During the evening awards dinner, ten businesses will be recognized for exceptional achievement across various categories, each receiving $2,000. One winner will be awarded $25,000 for outstanding contributions to their industry and community.
Jeanette Mulvey, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of CO—, praised the CO—100 businesses for their ingenuity and leadership in the small business sector. "These entrepreneurs and their teams represent the exceptional talent and innovation that define American business," Mulvey said.
The US Chamber’s CO—100 recognition provides a national platform for small businesses to gain visibility, celebrate their successes, and build connections that foster continued growth. As these businesses prepare for the celebration in Washington, their inclusion in the CO—100 list shines a spotlight on small businesses' crucial role in driving economic prosperity and innovation across the country.
