GTA 6 Pre-Orders Will Finally Go Live June 25

After years of waiting and plenty of rumors, Grand Theft Auto VI fans are finally days away from being able to secure their copy. Official pre-orders go live on June 25, and retailers are already getting ready behind the scenes.
Rockstar confirmed on June 18 that Grand Theft Auto VI will become available for pre-order through digital storefronts and selected retailers on June 25. Players can already add the game to their wishlists on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store and receive notifications when pre-orders go live.
While Rockstar has yet to reveal pricing or editions, signs that retailers are preparing have begun to appear. German electronics chain MediaMarkt launched a dedicated GTA 6 campaign page on June 22, featuring the message "something big is being created here." The page doesn't include a purchase button or pricing information, but it appears to be a placeholder created before the official launch.
That kind of preparation is common for major releases. Retailers often build pages in advance so they can quickly activate them once publishers authorize sales. Rockstar and parent company Take-Two Interactive are known for carefully controlling their announcements, which is why many details are still being kept under wraps.
As of June 23, no retailer has launched fully operational pre-order pages. The PlayStation Store and Xbox Store only offer wishlist options, while major chains such as GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, and Target have yet to make public listings available. Some smaller European retailers have displayed placeholder pages and speculative prices, but none of those figures have been confirmed.
Rockstar also recently unveiled the official cover art for Grand Theft Auto VI, giving fans another glimpse at protagonists Jason and Lucia. Information about pricing, special editions, and pre-order bonuses is still being kept secret, though those details are expected to arrive once pre-orders officially begin.
With June 25 just around the corner, the wait for the next phase of GTA 6's launch is almost over. For now, the wishlists are active, retailers are getting their pages ready, and fans are counting down the days until one of the biggest game releases in years becomes available to reserve.
